Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba)
One of the oldest and strongest trees ever studied, the ginkgo tree has been traced back 3000 million years. Gingko has been shown to boost stem-cell production in the brain, enhance memory and cognition, and promote repair of damaged brain cells.
Due to its capacity to help rejuvenate, ginkgo has been effectively used to treat brain-related conditions like depression, confusion, memory loss, concentration issues, anxiety, tinnitus, and headaches. Gingko is a general tonic that can also be used for symptoms like low libido and chronic fatigue. We see gingko as an apothecary within itself - one of the most essential and respected herbs.
Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica)
Gotu Kola has been shown in animal and human studies to increase the neural axonal density of the brain, which has been correlated with increased intelligence and psychic ability. Extracts of the plant have been shown to repair damaged neutrons and promote growth of neural networks. There have been studies on how the chemistry of Gotu Kola can activate both brain hemispheres, stimulating creativity and positive brainwave states (alpha, theta and gamma in particular).
Rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus)
The “herb of remembrance”, Rosemary is revered for helping to preserve and strengthen memory, recall and cognitive function. This powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory is frequently taken to boost circulation, tonify the nervous and digestive system and ward off mental exhaustion.
Yerba Mate (Ilex paraguariensis)
Yerba Mate is one of South America’s most popular energy drinks. An ideal alternative to coffee, Mate naturally increases energy levels - without the jittery side effects. Packed full of antioxidants and vitamin C, Yerba Mate provides the ability to enhance mental clarity, increase physical performance by reducing muscle contractions, and reduce fatigue.
